Welcome space fish fans!

It's been one month since the end of the initial 2-week window on the Lancer One-Shot Module Jam, and we've been working on some big updates and additions ready for the closure of the final submission window for the Jam. Here's the changelog:

Version 1.1

New Features!

  • A .zip file containing battlemaps,  compatible with Foundry VTT
  • The Blink Spool, a new piece of mech Exotic Gear as a Reward
  • An .lcp for the LUXmini Personal-scale Flicker Suit and the new Blink Spool

Meta

  • Acknowledged that the use of core powers in the combat is at GMs’ discretion in the section “Running the Module”
  • Added a new subsection on narrative play and the use of skill challenges in the section “Running the Module”

Narrative

  • In Beat 1, added a table of potential hooks to better segue from the introduction into the broader narrative and give additional flavor to the station (thanks, Ailyn!)
  • Added a sidebar in the “Outcome” section to account for player decisions in Beat 3

Combat

  • Added optional starting conditions depending on which method of deployment the PCs choose
  • Added an optional secondary objective
  • Updated battlefield description based on battlemap and further playtesting
  • Rebalanced the opposing forces and aligned them with base and optional system rules as follows (thanks again, Ailyn and our playtesters!):
    • Added the Broad-Sweep Haft system to the Demolishers
    • Added the Veterancy (Engineering) feature and Self Repair trait to Veteran template for the initial Priest, which is now applied for 3 or more PCs.
    • Added the Veterancy (Hull) feature and Legendary trait to the Veteran template for the Cataphract, which is now applied for 4 or more PCs
    • Added the Motile Swarm system to the reinforcing Hive at 5 PCs
    • Replaced reinforcing Breachers with Cataphracts, using the Capacitor Discharge optional trait.
    • Replaced the initial Breachers with Archers, using the Hail of Fire optional feature.
    • Moved the Hive from reinforcements to the starting force.
    • Added Rainmakers, using the Hound Missile optional feature, to the initial and reinforcing forces.
    • Moved all Demolishers to Reinforcements.

Interior Art

  • New spot art for the Station Hooks table
  • New spot art for Broken Wing’s logo
  • Updated portrait art for Katerina
  • New spot art for the LUXmini Personal-scale Flicker Suit
  • New diagram of Caleuche Shipyard as an Appendix

Navigation

  • Added PDF bookmarks for major sections
  • Corrected hyperlinks in Table of Contents
  • Internal page references now contain hyperlinks to the applicable section

Accessibility 

  • Added alt text for images and hyperlink names
  • Formatted all-caps headers so that the underlying text is in Title Case, to improve compatibility with screen readers

Formatting

  • Conversion of text descriptions to Lancer icons. Icons have been imported as images with alt text instead of a font.
  • Formatting, layout, and typographical edits throughout
